Verden Psychiatric Hospital in Verden, Oklahoma (via)
The Verden Psychiatric Hospital was an instutition to treat mentally ill people, often those who’ve done a criminal act. In the late 1800’s it was a well respected hospital, however some reports claim that in the second half of the 1900’s the patients had to live in poor living conditions because of overcrowding. A testimony from the referred site above says that patients were occasionally found screaming and urinating out the windows of their rooms in the summer time. The hospital closed 1988 and has since then been abandoned. The building is supposed to be renovated and preserved, but specific future plans remain unclear.
“Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.” is a grammatically correct sentence used as an example of how homonyms and homophones can be used to create complicated constructs.

“Paige, I had kind of a crummy day. So, I am resting tonight. I will only bring this up once. I wish you would not smoke. It is so much harder to quit than to start. Believe me! I did quit this summer. You probably didn’t notice. If you smoke in your car it smells like an ashtray. Just because I love you. Mom”
1. I quit smoking in August.
2. My car still smells like an ashtray (thanks, friends).

What will you do when you graduate? If you stay here you’ll suffocate. All your friends are moving to London while the cherry trees are still in blossom.
Swedes are sort of like Earth’s benevolent alien overlords, right? They just are so different than us, gazing down from their icy zone! For one thing, they have a strange tradition of watching Donald Duck cartoons each Christmas Eve.
This is stunning: it’s the winning performance from Ukraine’s Got Talent. Kseniya Simonova, 24, shows what happened in the Ukraine during World War II when Germany invaded (the The Great Patriotic War), and she uses sand to do it.
YOU. DO. NOT. UNDERSTAND.
Take me to Helsinki, please!
this pretty much made my night.
